One of my users tried to delete an email and it kept coming up with an "unknow error" It would not delete the email. The email was an advertismentfor a cosmetic company. I tried to move it to another folder and it produced the same results. I tried all of the suggestions from earlier posts and it did not resolve the problem. I put on my thinking cap and here is what resolved it. I did a "Select All" from the "Edit" dropdown. Then I selected "Edit Message". I deleted all content and exited out of the message. It asked if I wanted to save the changes and I clicked "Yes". I was then able to delete the email. Is this strange or what?

Hi, This issue can be caused by the limit of the .pst file fall within the user. Please first check the size of the .pst file. Allen, Unfortunately, we are not using .pst files. There is the usual Archive but it is only 121kb. I have seen what rather large pst files can do and it isn't pretty. Anyway, I just thought that it was really strange that the email could not be deleted. Thanks for your assistance.

Hi, Actually, several factors could cause this issue. However, only one email encountered this error that was not easy to find the root cause of this issue for us. Maybe that was the phenomenon by accident. Thus, I suggest we monitor this issue. If such issue reoccurs, please let me know. PS: please empty the deleted item since that also maybe the cause. Thanks, Allen. I emptied the deleted and have not experienced the issue again. It may have been a fluke since we do have a third party that provides us our email server.
